Abstract

He research method of this research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation, documentation, and or a combination of several techniques. Data sources are Field Literature, Field Research. Based on the results of the research, the implementation of character education in developing students' interests, attitudes and positive behavior is competence in terms of preparing lesson plans, competence in elaborating the curriculum, competence in conducting evaluations. Constraints in developing the interests, attitudes, and positive behavior of students are: low interest in madrasas, lack of learning resources, low motivation to learn for students, lack of religious facilities. Facilities such as prayer rooms for prayer practices, Arabic language laboratories and recitations, as well as software are still limited. Efforts are being made to overcome obstacles in developing students' interests, attitudes, and positive behavior, namely: Intensifying the discipline of madrasa residents, Seeking learning facilities and infrastructure , Generating student interest with various methods, Teachers in carrying out evaluations are not only cognitive but also psychomotor and affective, so that character education can develop students' interests, attitudes, and positive behavior well.
