IMPLEMENTASI PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN AKIDAH AKHLAQ SISWA MA HIDAYATUL MUBTADIIN KECAMATAN JATI AGUNG KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of instructional media and its influence on students’ learning achievement in the Akidah Akhlaq subject at MA Hidayatul Mubtadiin, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency. The background of this research arises from the importance of selecting appropriate learning media to ensure that the values of faith (‘aqidah) and ethics (akhlaq) are not only understood cognitively but also internalized in students’ daily behavior. Although various types of learning media are available, their effectiveness depends largely on the teacher’s ability to design, select, and integrate them into the learning process. Therefore, this study investigates how teachers implement learning media, the challenges they encounter, and the extent to which these media improve students’ engagement and learning outcomes. This research adopts a qualitative field research approach, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research informants consisted of the Akidah Akhlaq teacher, the school principal, and several students as supporting sources. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and inductive conclusion drawing. Data validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation to ensure that the research findings accurately reflect the learning conditions in the field. The research procedures were carried out continuously to obtain a comprehensive understanding of media use practices and the interactions that occur throughout the learning process. The findings reveal that learning media at MA Hidayatul Mubtadiin have been applied in various forms, including visual media, audiovisual materials, and simple technology-based tools. Teachers use these media to clarify Akidah concepts and instill Akhlaq values through concrete examples and visual illustrations that are easier for students to comprehend. The implementation of learning media has been shown to increase students’ interest, strengthen their understanding of the subject matter, and support improved academic achievement, although several challenges remain, such as limited facilities, teacher readiness, and constrained instructional time. Overall, the study emphasizes that well-planned and appropriate use of instructional media can significantly contribute to enhancing students’ learning achievement in the Akidah Akhlaq subject.
