Abstract

Sexual deviations develop over time, so that sex becomes a word that is considered "dirty" and "disgusting", even though according to Quraish Shihab's view, sex in the Islamic view is something sacred. Sex is a fundamental difference related to reproduction, in one species, which divides this creature into two parts, namely men and women according to the sperm (male) and egg cells (female) produced. Problems arise when sexual deviations occur, namely same-sex relationships that occur in the community, including one in Kecamatan Sungkai Utara. Data collection methods used in this study include interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that community leaders view the existence of perpetrators of same-sex relationships as a threat to the joints of social life. They consider that this behavior should receive stricter action because it is feared that it can be contagious and influence the younger generation in Kecamatan Sungkai Utara. This is caused by same-sex behavior which is considered to be contrary to religious norms and is a form of violation of humanitarian law. Perpetrators of same-sex relationships are declared as individuals who deviate from normality and need serious handling so as not to cause social ills that disturb society.
