Abstract

In general, there are many male heads of madrasas and schools. The purpose of this research is to describe the leadership of female madrasah principals in the perspective of gender studies. In the context of leadership, it was found that women prioritized human relations, cared for their subordinates, paid attention to cooperation between members, respected and valued each other. Women's leadership tends to communicate informally to subordinates and is more polite, uses collaborative strategies in overcoming conflicts, is open and prefers to share with subordinates, likes to work in teamwork. Work As a teacher as well as a principal is very closely related directly to students, the mentality of a woman who has a gentle nature, a sense of humility, likes and is very caring for children makes her closeness to children a big influence on the tasks she carries out well as a teacher and as a school principal who demands attention to the progress of his students. The closeness of women to students making it easier for them to provide transfer of knowledge, education and teaching is also supported by the characteristics possessed by a woman such as: Women are more nurturing, protecting, more settled, and preserving (Conservation) psychology of women getting to know teenagers and adult women.
