Abstract

This research problem discusses the needs of students for teaching materials that are more interesting in the learning process. The research objective is interactive multimedia teaching material in the form of electronic module (e-Module), describe eligibility, and testing the effectiveness of e-Module reading exposition text through searching for SQ3R using an android application. This study used a research and development model that adapts six steps according to Borg and Gall. Data collection techniques through documentation, observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed, 1) interactive multimedia teaching material that was successfully developed in the form of “e-Module reading exposition text through the SQ3R approach using an android application”, 2) the overall feasibility of the e-Module was declared “very feasible” with assessment presentation 93, 95, and 95,75 by material experts, media experts, and practitioner, 3) e-Module with N-Gain from (0,68), (0,67), and (0,67) were stated to be effective enough to improve exposition text reading skills.
