Implementasi Metode Tahsin Dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Bacaan Al-Quran Pada Santriwati Rumah Quran Nurul Ikhwan Kota Metro

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Tahsin method in improving the quality of Quranic reading among the female students of Rumah Quran Nurul Ikhwan, Metro City. The background of this research is based on the observed low ability of students to read the Qur’an according to tajweed rules, despite having previously participated in Quran learning activities. Through the Tahsin method, which focuses on improving articulation, tartil, letter characteristics, and tajweed application, it is expected that students will achieve better reading quality that aligns with proper Quran recitation standards. This research employs a qualitative approach with a field study method. Data were collected through in-depth observations, interviews with instructors and students, as well as documentation of learning activities. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The validity of the findings was ensured through source and method triangulation. The research examined the implementation stages of the Tahsin method, including introduction, drilling exercises, routine evaluations, and daily Quran reading habits as part of quality control. The results show that the implementation of the Tahsin method at Rumah Quran Nurul Ikhwan is carried out in a structured manner and significantly improves students’ Quran reading quality. The improvement is reflected through clearer pronunciation, reading fluency, and accurate application of tajweed rules. Supporting factors include competent instructors, student discipline, and a conducive learning environment. However, the study also found challenges such as varying basic reading abilities and limited learning time. Overall, the Tahsin method is considered effective in improving the Quran reading quality of students at Rumah Quran Nurul Ikhwan, Metro City.
