PENGARUH PENGELOLAAN KELAS TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN FIQIH SISWA KELAS VIII MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH RAUDLATUL HUDA KECAMATAN NEGERI KATON KABUPATEN PESAWARAN

Abstrak

This qualitative descriptive research aims to explore in depth the influence of classroom management on students’ learning achievement in the Fiqh subject among eighth-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Raudlatul Huda, Negeri Katon District, Pesawaran Regency. The study is grounded in the observation that ineffective classroom management often results in low student engagement, an unconducive learning environment, and suboptimal learning achievement in the Fiqh subject. Through a qualitative lens, this study examines how teachers structure the learning environment, manage student behavior, and implement instructional strategies to improve students’ mastery of Fiqh concepts. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, involving the Fiqh teacher, eighth-grade homeroom teachers, and selected students as key informants. The findings reveal that effective classroom management particularly in terms of seating arrangements, time allocation, behavior regulation, and varied teaching methods significantly contributes to creating an orderly and engaging learning atmosphere. This environment enhances students’ active participation, comprehension of Fiqh materials, and ability to apply Islamic jurisprudence principles in daily life. Overall, the study concludes that classroom management has a significant impact on improving students’ academic achievement across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Teachers who consistently implement structured classroom management strategies tend to achieve better learning outcomes among students. Therefore, this research recommends that teachers strengthen their classroom management competencies by adopting creative, adaptive, and student-centered approaches to enhance the quality of Fiqh learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level.
