UPAYA GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM PEMBINAAN SHALAT SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI 2 PUNDUH PEDADA DESA NAMBAH DADI KECAMATAN TERBANGGI BESAR

Abstrak

This study aims to examine in depth the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering students' prayers at State Elementary School 2 Punduh Pedada, Nambah Dadi Village, Terbanggi Besar District. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, which is based on data collection techniques through field observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The focus of the study is directed at the forms of coaching strategies, communication patterns between teachers and students, and the role of the school environment in supporting the implementation of prayer coaching activities. The informants in this study consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers, the principal, several students, and other relevant parties in the process of religious coaching in the school environment. Data analysis techniques were carried out through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, accompanied by validation through source triangulation to ensure the validity of the data and maintain the objectivity of the research results. The results of the study indicate that Islamic Religious Education teachers at State Elementary School 2 Punduh Pedada have made a number of systematic and continuous efforts in fostering the implementation of students' prayers, including through the habituation of the practice of the five daily prayers, theoretical learning about the pillars and requirements for valid prayers, and the integration of spiritual values ​​in daily school activities. In addition, teachers also utilize religious activities such as congregational prayer, reading prayers together, and strengthening character through role models. However, this coaching process is not free from challenges, such as limited time for religious learning in the curriculum, lack of supervision at home by parents, and varying levels of student motivation. Thus, synergy is needed between teachers, parents, and schools in creating a conducive environment for strengthening students' religious practices from an early age. This study is expected to be a scientific contribution to the development of religious coaching strategies at the elementary school level, especially in the formation of students' religious character.
