PENERAPAN METODE INQUIRY TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN FIQIH (ZAKAT) KELAS VIII DI MTS AL MUHAJIRIN KEC. AIR HITAM KAB. LAMPUNG BARAT

Abstrak

This study aims to describe in depth the application of the inquiry method to student learning outcomes in the subject of Fiqh, especially on zakat material, in class VIII MTs Al Muhajirin, Air Hitam District, West Lampung Regency. The background of this study is based on the low level of active participation of students in the learning process and the limited understanding of students about the basic concepts of zakat in everyday life. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through direct observation of the learning process, interviews with subject teachers and students, and documentation of learning evaluation results. Data are analyzed descriptively qualitatively using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the application of the inquiry method can increase students' active involvement in the learning process and encourage a deeper understanding of zakat material. Through inquiry learning steps such as asking questions, exploring information, group discussions, and concluding results, students are more encouraged to think critically, independently, and analytically in understanding the concept of zakat. Teachers play an important role as facilitators who guide the learning process so that it remains focused and in accordance with curriculum objectives. Although there are obstacles such as differences in student ability levels and time constraints in implementing learning, in general the inquiry method has proven effective in improving student learning outcomes both from cognitive and affective aspects. Based on these findings, the inquiry method is recommended as one of the relevant learning approaches to be applied in Fiqh learning, in order to build conceptual and applicative understanding in the context of students' daily lives.
