PENGARUH GURU BIMBINGAN KONSELING DALAM PEMBINAAN AKHLAK SISWA

Abstrak

Student moral development is one of the important aspects in realizing the national education goal, namely to produce students who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have noble character. This study aims to reveal and analyze the influence of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in fostering student morals in schools. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of declining student morals, such as lack of respect, discipline, and increasing cases of bullying and violations of rules. In this context, BK teachers play an important role as coaches and counselors who not only handle student problems, but also shape their character and moral values. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method in one of the junior high schools in South Lampung Regency. Data were obtained through observation, interviews with BK teachers, principals, homeroom teachers, and students, as well as documentation of BK service programs. The results of the study showed that BK teachers had a major influence in fostering morals through individual and group counseling, classical services, and cooperation with teachers and parents. The moral values ​​that were fostered included honesty, responsibility, discipline, tolerance, and mutual respect. The obstacles faced include limited time, resources, and lack of parental involvement. In conclusion, BK teachers have an important role in fostering students' morals and need support from all elements of the school so that the results achieved are more optimal.
