Upaya Guru PAI Dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Shalat Fardu Siswa SD Global Surya Bandar Lampung

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the efforts of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in improving the quality of students’ obligatory prayers at SD Global Surya Bandar Lampung. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that PAI teachers implemented four main strategies: role modeling, religious habituation, guided prayer practice, and evaluation and reflection activities. Role modeling proved highly effective, as students tended to imitate the teacher’s religious behavior, particularly in discipline and worship practices. Religious habituation, such as congregational prayer, tadarus, and daily supplications, strengthened students’ consistency in performing prayers. Guided practice improved the accuracy of students’ prayer movements and recitations, while evaluation and reflection enhanced their understanding of the spiritual values within worship. Despite challenges such as varying student abilities and limited concentration during prayer, the overall efforts of PAI teachers were effective in improving the quality of students’ obligatory prayers.
