Penggunaan Media Visual Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Pembelajaran IPS Kelas III Di MI Junjungan Sayyid Hamim Semendawai Barat

Abstrak

The use of visual media has become a significant approach in improving learning outcomes in various educational contexts. This research aims to investigate the influence of the use of visual media on student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in class III of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Junjungan Sayyid Hamim, West Semendawai. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class which used visual media and the control class which did not use visual media. The instrument used for data collection was a learning outcomes test. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques.

The research results show that the use of visual media significantly improves student learning outcomes in social studies learning. Students who are exposed to learning with visual media show more significant improvements in understanding the material, retention of information, and active involvement in the learning process compared to students who do not use visual media. These findings indicate that the use of visual media can be an effective strategy for improving the quality of social studies learning at MI. The implication of this research is the importance of integrating visual media in the learning process to facilitate students' understanding of the material being taught. It is recommended for teachers and educational institutions to consider the use of visual media as an integral part of their learning strategies, as well as for researchers to conduct further research involving wider samples and expanding the scope of subjects and educational levels.
