Abstrak

Abstrac:This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in integrated thematic learning. This is due to the less optimal use of models and innovative learning by teachers, namely learning is still teacher- centered so that the reactions of students tend to be passive and less interested in learning. This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in integrated thematic learning. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) using a quantitative and qualitative approach which is carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of madrasah ibtidaiyah junjungan sayyid hamim, Agam Regency. The research procedure is planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Research techniques and instruments are tests and non-tests. The results showed an increase in: a) RPP cycle I obtained an average of 81.94% with good qualifications (B) increased in cycle II to 91.66% with very good qualifications (SB), b) teacher activity cycle I obtained the average percentage of 85.71% with good qualifications (B) increased in cycle II to 92.85% with very good qualifications (SB), c) student activities in cycle I obtained an average percentage of 80.35% with good qualifications (B ) then increased in the second cycle to 92.85% with very good qualifications (SB), and d) learning outcomes Students in the first cycle obtained an average learning outcome of 76.43 with a predicate (C) then increased in the second cycle to 87 ,18 with the predicate (B). Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes.
