PENGARUH METODE REWARD AND PUNISHMENT TERHADAP PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR QUR'AN HADIST DI MTS AL ITTIHADIYAH

This study aims to determine the effect of the reward and punishment method on increasing students' learning motivation in the Qur'an Hadith subject at MTs Al Ittihadiyah. The background of this study is based on the low motivation of students to learn the Qur'an Hadith, which has an impact on active participation and learning achievement that is not optimal. The research method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The research sample consisted of grade VIII students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental class (treated with the reward and punishment method) and the control class (with conventional learning methods). The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between students' learning motivation before and after the reward and punishment method was applied. Students in the experimental class showed a higher increase in terms of activeness, discipline, and interest in learning compared to students in the control class. This proves that the reward and punishment method has a positive effect on increasing students' learning motivation in the Qur'an Hadith subject.
