Strategi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Membangun Akhlak Siswa Kelas V SDN 2 Tarahan Kalecamatan Katibung Lampung

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Islamic Education (PAI) learning strategies used by teachers in developing the moral character of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Tarahan, Katibung District, Lampung. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The participants included the Islamic Education teacher, the principal, and fifth-grade students. The findings indicate that the learning strategies implemented consisted of role-modeling (uswah hasanah), religious habituation, Islamic storytelling, and value-based discussions. These strategies were proven effective in cultivating moral values such as honesty, discipline, politeness, and responsibility. The school’s religious environment—characterized by greeting habits, collective prayers, and Qur’an recitations—further strengthened the moral development process. Although some challenges were identified, such as limited instructional media and varied student abilities, the Islamic Education learning strategies significantly contributed to shaping students’ moral character. Therefore, integrated Islamic Education strategies supported by a religious school culture are highly recommended for elementary school settings.
