Pengembangan Kurikulum Model Eklektik PAI di MTs Al-fata Pasir Agung kec Bangun Purba kab Rokan Hulu

This study examines relevant curriculum development approaches and models for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia. The primary focus of the study is to find effective models to improve the relevance and quality of PAI learning amidst social, cultural, and technological changes. Using a descriptive literature review, this study identifies two main approaches: technical and non- technical, as well as various curriculum development models, including competency-based and thematic-integrative models. The results indicate that the technical approach is more suitable for Islamic educational institutions that focus on student competency achievement, while the non-technical approach is effective for non-formal Islamic educational institutions that emphasize character development and student spirituality. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more adaptive and contextual PAI curriculum and serve as a reference for policymakers and educators in designing learning strategies that meet the needs and challenges of the times.
