This study aims to examine the development of early childhood cognitive aspects through outdoor play at TK Sunan Kalijaga Sumber Jaya Jati Agung, South Lampung, Academic Year 2024/2025. The approach used was descriptive qualitative with observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results indicate that outdoor play significantly contributes to the cognitive development of young children. Activities such as hide-and-seek, jump rope, and environmental exploration help improve thinking ability, concentration, problem-solving skills, and logical reasoning. Outdoor play also enhances social interaction, which supports cognitive skills. Nevertheless, implementation faces challenges such as limited facilities, lack of teacher training, and insufficient playground space. Despite these obstacles, with the support of schools, teachers, and parents, outdoor play can serve as an effective, enjoyable, and contextual learning strategy to optimize early childhood potential.
