Abstract

Abstract

The learning of Indonesian language at the elementary school level, particularly in third grade, requires innovative approaches to enhance students' speaking skills. One method that has proven effective in this regard is role playing. This study aims to analyze the impact of role playing learning on the speaking skills of students at MIN 2 Lampung. The research method used is quantitative with an experimental design. Data was collected through pre-tests and post-tests involving 30 students. The results of the analysis show a significant improvement in students' speaking skills after the implementation of role playing learning. These findings provide evidence that role play methods can be an effective strategy in language learning, in line with the principles of active pedagogy. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more creative and effective learning methods in basic education contexts.
