Abstract
This study aims to assess the effectiveness of applying the direct learning model supported by animated multimedia on students' learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) in class V at Muhammadiyah 15 Elementary School in Palembang. Using a quantitative approach, this research involved 60 students, divided into two groups: a control group using traditional methods and an experimental group utilizing animated multimedia. The analysis of data revealed a significant improvement in the learning outcomes of students taught with the direct learning model assisted by multimedia animations compared to the control group. This data shows that the use of animated multimedia can help students better understand the subject matter, thus fostering their interest and motivation for learning. This research is expected to contribute to the development of teaching methods in elementary schools, especially in the SKI subject.
