Analisis Tingkat Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dalam Memecahkan Masalah Pembelajaran Matematika pada Siswa MIN 2 Bandar Lampung

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to analyze the level of critical thinking skills in solving mathematics learning problems among students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Bandar Lampung. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Participants in this research were class V and VI students of MIN 2 Bandar Lampung. Data was collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques to identify and describe the level of students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems.

The research results show that MIN 2 Bandar Lampung students have varying levels of critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems. Some students demonstrate good analytical skills in identifying problems and formulating solution strategies, while others face difficulties in connecting the mathematical concepts they learn with the given problem situation. Factors such as the level of understanding of mathematical concepts, communication skills, and self-confidence influence the level of students' critical thinking skills.

These findings have important implications for educators in designing learning strategies that can improve students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems. Educators need to pay attention to variations in students' learning styles as well as provide opportunities to practice collaborative problem solving. Apart from that, this research also highlights the importance of developing a curriculum that emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills in mathematics learning at the basic education level.
