Abstract

Social is learning to understand problems and ways to solve these problems. The goal is to master understanding and skills in social problems. The phenomenon that occurs in class B2 of TK 'Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal 1 Bandar Lampung is that they have poor social skills. This was found by students who were still always bothering their friends, did not want to mingle with their friends, did not want to share something they had with their friends and did not yet have a feeling of sympathy within the students. So efforts are needed to develop students' social skills using modeling techniques. The aim of this research is to determine the social development of students by using modeling techniques.

The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this research were class B2 students at TK 'Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal 1 Bandar Lampung who were still in the low social skills category. Data collection techniques in this research used interviews, observation and documentation.

Based on the research results, it can be concluded that teachers/models in class B2 use several stages in the modeling process including: attention, providing stimulus, production, motivation and reinforcement. Through these stages, it turns out that it makes it easier for models/teachers to develop B2 children's social skills. Modeling techniques in developing students' social abilities are said to be effective in developing, developing and even improving the quality of students' social abilities.
