PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE MAKE A MATCH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN SISTEMATIS DI MI MATHLAUL ANWAR CINTAMULYA

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model Make a Match on students’ systematic reasoning skills at MI Mathlaul Anwar Cintamulya. The research was motivated by the low ability of students to develop structured, logical, and coherent reasoning during learning activities, particularly in subjects that require strong conceptual and analytical understanding. The Make a Match model was selected because it is considered effective in encouraging active thinking, collaboration, and conceptual connection through activities of pairing question and answer cards.

This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which received the Make a Match treatment, and the control class, which used conventional teaching methods. Data were collected using a validated test measuring students’ systematic reasoning skills.

The findings reveal a significant effect of the Make a Match cooperative learning model on students’ systematic reasoning abilities. Students in the experimental class showed a higher increase in scores compared to those in the control class. These results indicate that the Make a Match model is effective in helping students think in a structured manner, connect information, and draw logical conclusions.
