Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the relationship between parenting patterns and child discipline at PAUD Al Ma'arif located in Kedondong District. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The data analysis technique used is the Pearson Product Moment correlation. The study population included all group B students at PAUD Al Ma'arif, Kedondong District, totaling 65 children. The research sample was selected using a random sampling technique, with 30 respondents. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study showed that parenting patterns have a positive and significant influence on child discipline. This is evidenced by the t value of -3.770 and the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001. Because the significance value is smaller than the significance limit of 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between parenting patterns (independent variable) on child discipline (dependent variable) at PAUD Al Ma'arif, Kedondong District. In addition, the results of the determination coefficient test show that the R square (r²) value is 0.441, which means that 44.1% of the variation in child discipline can be explained by parenting patterns
