Abstract

Sexual deviations develop over time, so that the term "sex" is often associated with negative meanings, even considered as something "dirty" and "disgusting". In fact, according to Quraish Shihab, in the Islamic view, sex is something sacred. Sex itself is a basic difference related to reproductive function, which divides humans into two sexes, namely male and female, based on the sperm (male) and ovum (female) produced. Problems arise when there are deviations in sexual behavior, such as same-sex relationships, which begin to appear in the community of Sukabumi, Bandarlampung City, including one of them in Serang Regency. Based on this phenomenon. This study aims to determine how the views of Sukabumi community leaders in Bandarlampung City towards same-sex relationships from the perspective of Islamic law, as well as to identify the factors that influence the formation of these views. This research is included in the field research category with a descriptive nature. Data collection methods used include interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results show that community leaders in Sukabumi, Bandarlampung, view the existence of homosexual individuals as a threat to the social order of the Sukabumi community. They believe that strict action should be taken against this behavior, as it is feared it could spread to the younger generation. This is because homosexual behavior is considered contrary to religious norms and violates humanitarian values. Perpetrators are considered to deviate from common sense and require serious treatment to prevent wider social unrest
