Abstract

In Madrasahs, principals and teachers are important elements to create a learning atmosphere, in order to achieve the goals of the institution. The head of the Madrasah has the ability to direct where the educational institution goes. Spiritual leadership has values ​​that are able to revive, raise enthusiasm, raise awareness, and move oneself and others in carrying out their functions, duties and obligations. The spiritual leadership of the head of the madrasa is the application of wisdom from one's spiritual journey, one's awareness to lead as a form of devotion to God. In its implementation, it has a personal vision of 'knowledgeable and skilled', altruistic love which is affection, role model, service, dedication, and loyalty. Thus, to distribute the value of goodness, madrasas have learning methods based on spiritual values, including: (a) Values ​​are taught to students or students by presenting the values ​​of goodness and truth, (b) Values ​​are taught by going back and forth between giving concepts in a literal way. about the values ​​of truth, then see it in cases of everyday life, or from seeing everyday cases returned to the general theoretical concept, (c) Values ​​are formed in students by maximizing the various potentials they have so that they can explored on his own. Students can express and actualize themselves in learning activities and social interaction, (d) Values ​​are formed in students by training their spirituality through worship activities such as congregational prayers, fasting, wirid, suluk, then reflected in pious daily life practices by being tawakkal, sincere, honest with oneself, others and the environment, so that humans can function optimally in their lives.
