This study aims to determine the teacher's role in improving students in the school. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using methods: observation, interviews or interviews, and interviews. The data obtained is reduced and then analyzed. The results of the analysis obtained the role of teachers and parents in fostering interest in reading the Qur'an in students at SMP N 2 Adiluwih, variable indicators of the role of parents have been carried out although not yet at the optimal level the role of parents includes controlling children's learning activities, monitoring academic development , uniting personality development, combining the effectiveness of children's learning hours. While the variable indicators of the teacher's role have been carried out well, including: the role of the teacher as a facilitator, the role of the supervising teacher, the war of the teacher motivator, the role of the teacher organizer, the role of the teacher as a human resource, this certainly produces positive results, namely an increase in interest in reading only - Qur'an for students at SMP N 2 Adiluwih with the stages of development indicators in this study including: reading the Qur'an properly and correctly. The factors that influence the role of teachers and parents in fostering interest in reading the Koran in students at SMP N 2 Adiluwih are as follows: Internal factors, internal factors, namely factors that come from within the students themselves which consist of factors physiological and psychological factors, namely the lack of interest from the participants. External factors are factors that come from outside the students themselves. These factors include family, school and student factors including family factors and school factors.
