Keragaman Makna Kata Ash-Shalah dalam Al-Qur’an (Tinjauan Ilmu Al-Wujuh dan An-Nazhair)

Abstract

This paper discusses the word ash-shalah and its derivations contained in the Qur'an, generally the word ash-shalah means prayer or prayer, but it turns out that in the Koran the word ash-shalah does not only mean prayer as a ritual of worship, the word ash-shalah can experience a development of meaning if it is based on other sentences that show the context of the verse, this is called al-Wujuh and an-Nazhair which are part of the Ulumul Qur'an which functions to explain some of the words that have been mentioned in the Koran at a particular time. places with different meanings when the word is mentioned in other places, so departing from this, researchers need to examine more closely related to the use of the word ash-shalah in the Qur'an. As for this research, it is library research in nature, the data is traced through the mawhu'I method (thematic method), using the al-Wujuh and an-Nazhair science approaches. The data sources that the researchers used included the book of al-mu'jam (language dictionary), the books of al-Ulum al-Qur'an, the books of commentary. The results of this study indicate that the word ash-shalah and its derivations are mentioned in the Qur'an approximately 99 times with 2 different types of sighat, namely sighat isim and fi'il. and some of the words ash-shalah contained in the Qur'an contain al-Wujuh and an-Nazair.
