The Leadership Role of The Kharismatic Kyai In Establishing The Character of Students at The Al Ishlah Islamic Boarding School, Sukadamai Village, Kec. Natar Regency South Lampung

Abstract

Leadership is the most essential factor in determining policies and even strategies to address
problematic matters. The study of the role of leadership in Islamic boarding schools is
important to do, in addition to having its uniqueness and peculiarities. Leadership in Islamic
boarding schools has different symptoms and backgrounds, leadership in Islamic boarding
schools is attached to Kyai's leadership. This research uses a qualitative type of research. The
method used is the library research method. Namely by combining data from various
literary sources including books, journals, proceedings, and scientific articles related to the
leadership role of charismatic kyai in the formation of character traits. The charismatic
leadership role of Kyai is needed first the definition of charismatic leadership Kyai, the
charismatic leadership traits of Kyai, the charismatic leadership style of Kyai, the role and
duties of charismatic leadership of Kyai, the strategy of charismatic leadership of Kyai, in
the the formation of the character of students is needed the definition of the formation of the
student character, the values of the formation of student character, the methods of forming
the character of the santri, various forms of the formation of the character of the santri, but
there are several factors which are an obstacle in the formation of the character of students
at Pondok Pesantren is the variety of characters that students have and the lack of
understanding of parents about the rules in Pondok Pesantren so that Kyai's charismatic
leadership role is needed in building the character of students at Pondok Pesantren.
