Abstract

The pandemic that hit the world, made the system of life order change, both the economic sector, government order, and even penetrated the world of education. The pandemic period forced an educational institution to innovate in learning. Learning that is usually done face-to-face has finally turned into online learning. Finally, schools use online media or distance learning with e- learning systems so that learning can take place well. However, with this e-learning system learning, many problems arise such as what learning strategies are appropriate or suitable for use during a pandemic, how are student learning outcomes with the application of e-learning- based learning strategies and in learning strategies there must be advantages and disadvantages. There are three methods of collecting data in this study, firstly by observation, secondly by interview and  thirdly by  documentation. In  this study, the researchers used  data analysis techniques with triangulation. learning in improving student learning outcomes has increased even though distance learning or  e-learning can  be  proven by  the results of  observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the study showed that, 1) the implementation of learning with the e-learning system during the pandemic was carried out well, namely with a good coordination system between school principals, teachers, IT staff and students. 2) the implementation of  e-learning learning can  still improve student learning outcomes 3) The advantages of implementing E-learning based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning strategies are that students are given the freedom to study anywhere, anytime and anywhere, whether they are in the country or abroad, explanations to students become easier and more interesting, learning materials are stored properly, so students can access subject matter easily and learning is more communicative that makes the classroom atmosphere lively even in online classes.
