This research aims to analyze the role of teacher professional competence in improving learning effectiveness at State Elementary School (SDN) 09 Buay Runjung. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and analysis of documents related to the curriculum and learning activities at school. The results of the research show that teacher professional competence has a significant role in increasing the effectiveness of learning at SDN 09 Buay Runjung. Teachers who have good professional competence are able to prepare and implement learning plans that are relevant to student needs. They are also able to use a variety of learning strategies that vary according to student learning styles and class characteristics. In addition, professionally competent teachers are able to create a conducive learning environment, motivate students, and provide constructive feedback to improve students' understanding and learning achievement. However, the research also found several challenges in improving the professional competence of teachers at SDN 09 Buay Runjung, such as limited resources and adequate support, as well as changes in educational policies that could affect curriculum implementation and learning in schools. This research has important implications in improving the quality of learning at SDN 09 Buay Runjung and other schools. Continuous efforts are needed to develop teacher professional competence through systematic training, support and coaching. Apart from that, there needs to be support from the school, government and community in creating a supportive environment for increasing teacher professional competence in order to achieve optimal learning effectiveness.
