Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of school principal leadership in improving teacher performance using a transformational management approach. A qualitative approach was used by collecting data through interviews, observations and document analysis in several secondary and elementary schools. Key findings indicate that principal leadership plays a key role in developing a shared vision, building strong interpersonal relationships, providing support for professional growth, and encouraging innovation in schools. The research results also highlight challenges in implementing a transformational management approach, including limited resources and resistance to change. The practical implications of this research are the importance of developing leadership skills that are appropriate to diverse educational contexts, as well as strengthening support for school principals in creating a conducive and motivating learning environment for school staff.
