Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of collaborative supervision in forming a professional learning culture in madrasas. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, we explored the experiences, perceptions and understanding of teachers and supervisors regarding the implementation of collaborative supervision in the madrasa environment. The research results show that collaborative supervision plays a crucial role in increasing teachers' involvement in their professional development. More than just a monitoring or evaluation tool, collaborative supervision facilitates the exchange of knowledge and practice between teachers and supervisors. Apart from that, this approach also strengthens the integration of religious values in the learning process. Nevertheless, challenges such as limited resources and lack of institutional support are obstacles that need to be overcome to promote a culture of sustainable professional learning in madrasas through collaborative supervision. Thus, this research provides valuable insights for the development of education in madrasas and strengthens the Islamic identity of these educational institutions.
