Abstract

This research aims to explore and apply an effective teacher professional development model in improving the quality of learning at SD Tahfidz Plus Khoiru Ummah Balikpapan. By using an action research approach, a professional development model consisting of various activities such as training, workshops and mentoring is implemented in stages. Through analysis of teacher needs, a professional development model design that is relevant to the school context is developed. The research results show an increase in teachers' skills in planning and delivering learning, as well as an increase in their motivation and commitment to the profession. Additionally, positive changes in classroom learning practices and increased student achievement were also observed after implementation of the model. In conclusion, investment in teacher professional development is an important step in improving the quality of education, and models that are relevant to the school context are able to have a significant positive impact on student learning.
