Abstract

The aim of this research is the managerial function of school principals in creating effective schools. This research uses a qualitative approach. Meanwhile, the method used in this research is descriptive research method. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Work culture is a philosophy as values ​​that are traits, habits and driving forces shared by every individual in the work environment of an organization. The managerial ability of the school principal is an important and strategic factor in the framework of improving the quality and progress of the school he leads. With managerial skills, it is hoped that the school principal can make the school he leads into an effective school. In an effective school the principal has a strong role in planning, organizing, directing and controlling.
