KEPEMIMPINAN SITUASIONAL KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN DISIPLIN GURU
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine the situational leadership of school principals in improving teacher discipline at SDIT Insantama Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Province. This research is qualitative research by examining the condition of natural objects, where the researcher is the key instrument, sampling of data sources is carried out using purposive sampling, the collection technique is using training, data analysis is inductive/qualitative, and the research results emphasize meaning. The results of this research are that the situational leadership of the school principal in improving teacher discipline at SDIT Insantama Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Province was carried out to provide opportunities for teachers to carry out self-development such as continuing their education to a Masters (S2), taking part in 2013 curriculum training, targeting teacher certification and teacher adaptation to education. The school principal carries out organizing efforts to improve the function of teachers at SDIT Insantama Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Province, namely the division of tasks is offered to each personnel according to their abilities. In the aspect of mobilizing the school principal in the form of encouragement, communication and coordination for each personnel to work, even though it does not match the vision and limited facilities. The school principal carries out supervision and is not evaluated regularly. The obstacle for school principals in improving the function of teachers at SDIT Insantama Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Province is that not all teachers are civil servants, which affects their welfare and professionalism. Then, the quality and quantity of media/practicum equipment is still limited, the budget does not support school operations and there are few opportunities for training.
