PELAKSANAAN SUPERVISI KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU DI SMP NEGERI 19 BANDAR LAMPUNG
Abstract
Teacher performance is a crucial factor that significantly determines the quality of education, which in turn affects the educational output's quality. Therefore, it is important to continuously strive to improve teacher performance. Through supervisory activities, efforts are made to enhance and refine the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities, thus yielding quality outputs. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach analyzed using descriptive analysis methods. The findings indicate that school principals conduct supervision by monitoring student learning activities in classrooms in the morning or afternoon to check teachers' presence and ensure their punctuality during class hours. Additionally, principals often provide guidance and expand teachers' knowledge or insights related to current educational developments and demands. Principals consistently review the completeness of teachers' performance reports, including instructional materials, evaluation results, in-class/out-of-class learning activity reports, as well as remedial and enrichment activities
