Islamic education is a conscious, planned effort to prepare students to know, understand, appreciate, and come to the process of believing in the teachings of Islam in their lives, or it could be said to be an effort to change individual behavior in their personal lives, social lives and natural surroundings through an educational process that is based on Islamic values ​​so that later students will be able, capable and skilled in carrying out life as an effort to maintain survival and development. Therefore in this thesis there are several problems that are the focus of research, namely: (1) Application of life skills (life skills) based on Islamic religious education?; (2) what are the efforts made in applying life skills based on Islamic religious education? (3) what are the obstacles in applying life skills based on Islamic religious education? And the results of this research show that Islamic education and skills life is a component that cannot be separated, because both are a unified whole in relation to life. This research also shows that the concept of life skills can be used as a new direction for Islamic education, by integrating several aspects of life skills with Islamic education. From the results From this research, it can be concluded that the application of life skills can provide abilities, abilities and skills to students both in the fields of information technology and religion. As a provision for living their lives, it is hoped that each student will have adequate personal, rational, social, academic and vocational skills. integrated into Islamic education
