Abstract

Research has shown that the integration of learning media supported by Information and Communication Technology (ICT), including audiovisuals and Powtoon, contributes positively to the teaching of Islamic Education. The use of audiovisual learning media has been proven to enhance students' motivation and academic performance in Islamic Education, while the implementation of Powtoon has succeeded in increasing their interest in learning. Furthermore, the employment of audiovisual media is also associated with improvements in student learning outcomes in Islamic Education. However, it is essential to utilize these learning media wisely and effectively to maximize benefits for both students and teachers. The research also revealed that one of the reasons for the lack of student interest in Islamic Education is the inappropriate use of learning media by educators, highlighting the importance of selecting the right media and employing effective teaching strategies to boost student interest. Therefore, efforts are needed to create a conducive learning environment, enhance teachers' teaching skills, and optimally leverage advancements in information and communication technology. Thus, the application of ICT-based learning media can be an effective solution to enhance interest, motivation, and academic performance of students in Islamic Education. This strategy encourages a more interactive and engaging education, allowing students to become more involved in the learning process and gain a deeper understanding of Islamic Education materials.
