Abstract

The foothold of thinking in organizing education must be based on a firm and strong footing so as not to experience disorentasi in Islamic Education. Islam guides humans in conducting the study of reality not only to examine reality from its spiritual aspect, but also its inner aspect so that reality is not studied independently. This paper tries to elaborate on the significance of the philosophy of science for Islamic Education from an Islamic perspective by using three main elements of knowledge: ontology, epistemology and axiology. The results of the study show that philosophy of science is an important part of Islamic education as a guide and guide in implementing all forms of Islamic Education. Ignoring the philosophy of science as a basis for thinking for educational organizers will have an impact on the loss of scientific organization in educational institutions and tend to focus on matrealism and consumerism. Therefore, Islam and philosophy of science provide a very important role for the implementation of Islamic Education, so that Islamic education does not experience disorientation.
