KEKERASAN SIMBOLIK DALAM PRAKTEK PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the existence of symbolic violence in the relationship between educators and students. The occurrence of the practice of symbolic violence is inseparable from the dynamics of education in Indonesia. This is supported by the role of dominance, capital, arena (domain), habitus owned by an educator. Symbolic violence is a form of violence that is not easily recognizable because it operates through symbols of discourse that hegemonize objects (students) who are dominated by following meanings that are produced based on the interests of the dominating subject (educator). This type of research is classified as critical discourse analysis, the data comes from verbal communication, namely educators and students during the learning process.
