PERAN MANAJEMEN KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PENDIDIKAN DI MTS AL FALAH BENGUNAT

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the madrasah principal's management in improving the quality of education at MTs Al Falah Bengkunat. The principal has a strategic role in managing educational institutions through management functions including planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and educational staff. The results of the study indicate that the principal’s management role in improving educational quality is carried out through several strategies, namely developing quality improvement programs, fostering and developing teachers’ competencies, managing educational facilities and infrastructure, and strengthening a culture of discipline and collaboration within the madrasah environment. In addition, the principal conducts periodic evaluations of the learning process and the performance of educators. The effective implementation of management has a positive impact on improving the quality of the learning process, student discipline, and both academic and non-academic achievements of students. Therefore, the management role of the madrasah principal plays an important role in encouraging the improvement of educational quality at MTs Al Falah Bengkunat.
