Abstract

Organizational culture is one of the important factors in improving the quality of educational institutions. A strong organizational culture can create a conducive working environment, improve teachers’ performance, and support the achievement of educational goals effectively. This study aims to analyze the principal’s strategies in developing organizational culture at MAN 1 Krui, Pesisir Barat Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants of this research consisted of the principal, teachers, and educational staff at MAN 1 Krui. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the principal’s strategies in developing organizational culture are implemented through several steps, including instilling the values of discipline and responsibility, building effective communication among school members, providing exemplary leadership, and strengthening cooperation and togetherness within the school environment. In addition, the principal encourages the participation of teachers and educational staff in various school activities to strengthen their sense of belonging to the organization. These strategies have proven to create a positive work culture, improve teacher professionalism, and strengthen the commitment of all school members in achieving the institution’s vision and mission. Therefore, the leadership of the principal plays a very important role in building and developing an effective organizational culture within the school environment.
