Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of school environmental management in creating a conducive learning climate at MAN 1 Krui in Pesisir Barat Regency. A well-managed school environment plays a crucial role in supporting an effective and comfortable learning process for both students and teachers. Therefore, systematic, well-planned, and organized environmental management becomes an essential factor in establishing a conducive learning atmosphere. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students as research informants. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the management of the school environment at MAN 1 Krui is carried out through several stages, namely planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, the school formulates environmental management programs covering cleanliness, beauty, safety, and comfort of the school environment. In the implementation stage, the school involves all school members in maintaining and preserving the environment through various activities such as community service programs, classroom cleanliness programs, and school garden arrangements. Meanwhile, evaluation is conducted periodically to ensure that the implemented programs run effectively. Effective school environmental management has proven to create a more conducive learning climate, improve students’ comfort in learning, and foster discipline and responsibility within the school environment.
