Abstract

Teacher competency development is a crucial factor in enhancing educational quality. This study aims to analyze the management of teacher competency development through training and workshop programs at MAN 1 Krui. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation related to the implementation of training and workshop programs. The results indicate that the management of teacher competency development involves systematic planning, implementation of activities according to teacher needs, and continuous evaluation of outcomes. Training and workshop programs were proven to improve teachers’ pedagogical, professional, and information technology skills. Challenges such as limited budget and time were identified, but active teacher participation and support from the school principal were key supporting factors. The study concludes that effective management of teacher competency development programs can significantly enhance educational quality.
