Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the principal’s management strategies in improving the quality of learning in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 at SMA 13 Bandar Lampung. The rapid development of information and communication technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era presents both challenges and opportunities for the education sector to enhance the quality of learning through the use of digital technology, innovative learning methods, and the improvement of teacher competencies. As the leader of an educational institution, the principal plays a strategic role in designing, managing, and implementing various policies and programs that support the improvement of learning quality in schools. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and educational staff at SMA 13 Bandar Lampung. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the principal’s management strategies in improving the quality of learning are carried out through several efforts, including enhancing teachers’ competencies through technology-based training and workshops, developing digital learning innovations, utilizing information technology-based learning media and platforms, strengthening academic supervision, and implementing participatory school-based management. In addition, the principal encourages the creation of a conducive learning environment that is adaptive to technological developments. These strategies have been proven to improve the effectiveness of the learning process, teachers’ creativity in teaching, and students’ learning motivation. Therefore, innovative and adaptive management strategies by school principals play a significant role in improving learning quality in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
