Abstract

The essence of Islamic teachings is what is contained in the Qur'an, while the explanation of what is contained in the Qur'an is the Hadith. The Prophet Muhamada perfectly gave an explanation of what was meant by the Qur'an. So that the apostle is considered to have been perfect in the delivery of the Qur'an in conveying the contents of the Qur'an in accordance with the time, at the same time he also has provided a perfect example of how to practice and carry out the teachings of the Qur'an. The situation changed when the Prophet passed away, if the teaching of the Qur'an was sourced directly from the Prophet Muhammad then now comes from friends who deliver the teachings of the Qur'an based on the methods used by the Prophet Muhammad, this continued for generations furthermore so that the teachings of the Qur'an can be passed on and conveyed to people who are new to Islam. The first problem experienced by the Companions in conveying the teachings of the Qur'an is related to the Qur'an itself. At that time the Koran was completely revealed and existed in the memorization of the Companions, but not all Companions memorized the Al-Qur'an perfectly. Also at that time al-Qur'an was not written on the perfect Manuscripts, that is, the Qur'an was only written by friends who were good at writing, as instructed by the prophet Mohammed while still alive.
