KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN PROFESIONAL GURU DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI MAN OKU

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which principal leadership and teacher professionalism influence the improvement of students’ learning outcomes at MAN OKU. The principal serves as the driving force in school management, while teachers are the main implementers of the teaching process in the classroom. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation involving principals, teachers, and students. The findings revealed that firm, democratic, and performance-oriented leadership successfully fostered a disciplined and well-organized working culture. However, the improvement of students’ learning outcomes was not solely determined by the principal’s leadership style but also by the teachers’ professionalism in designing varied and innovative learning strategies. The study found that students’ learning outcomes increased by 20% following the implementation of academic supervision and continuous professional development programs for teachers. Thus, the synergy between effective principal leadership and high teacher professionalism is the key to achieving educational success at MAN OKU
