Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of school-based management in improving the quality of graduates at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Imam Sekincau, West Lampung Regency, during the 2025/2026 academic year. School-based management (SBM) is a decentralized educational approach that grants schools greater authority to manage their resources effectively and efficiently in achieving educational goals. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of SBM at MTs Nurul Imam has been relatively effective, as evidenced by the improvement in learning quality, teacher professionalism, and the active involvement of parents and the community in educational activities. The key supporting factors include visionary leadership from the principal, strong collaboration among stakeholders, and a religious school culture. However, challenges remain, such as limited facilities and financial resources. Overall, the application of SBM has contributed positively to improving the quality of graduates in both academic achievement and moral character
