Abstract

The research in this thesis is motivated by the low social studies learning outcomes due to the lack of student activity using the lecture learning model in class V MI Mathla'ul Anwar Sindang Sari South Lampung. Therefore, learning is needed that is able to improve the social studies learning outcomes of class V MI Mathla'ul Anwar Sindang Sari Lampung Selatan students, which in this research uses the STAD learning model. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether and how much influence the STAD type cooperative learning model has on the social studies learning outcomes of class V MI Mathla'ul Anwar Sindang Sari Lampung Selatan students? The aim of this research is to determine the magnitude of the influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of class V students at MI Mathla'ul Anwar Sindang Sari, South Lampung. ` This research is a true-experiment research with the Matching only posttest control group design. The data collection tools used were observation sheets, tests in the form of posttests and documentation. The main instrument used is a multiple choice posttest in accordance with the indicators. The instrument was tested in class V of MI Bahrul Ulum Batuliman and validity, discrimination, level of difficulty and reliability were calculated. Test the research hypothesis using the t test, before carrying out the t test the data is tested for analysis prerequisites first, namely by using the normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS 16.0 for Windows program calculations using t test analysis for samples originating from different distributions, the Independent samples test shows that the Sig value = 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the sig value < α at a significance level of 5%, then the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, with a large influence obtained from the percentage value of the coefficient of determination/R Square (R2) of 0.201 x 100 = 20.1%. This means that "there is (is) and a significant influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of class V students at MI Mathla'ul Anwar Sindang Sari, South Lampung.
