Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive review of the implementation of the 21st century skills-based learning model in English language teaching. The 21st century skills, including critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, have become increasingly crucial in preparing students to thrive in the modern world. This review synthesizes existing literature to examine the strategies, challenges, and impacts associated with integrating these skills into English language teaching. The review identifies several key strategies employed by educators to incorporate 21st century skills into English language instruction. These strategies include project-based learning, collaborative learning, problem-based learning, and the integration of technology. Additionally, the review highlights the challenges faced by teachers in implementing these strategies, such as time constraints, lack of curriculum support, and limited technological readiness in schools.
